The C6.R's 1st GT2 race appearance 2nd & 4th place finishes aren't as good as a 1st & 2nd but they'll do!

I think they were holding back a bit. #4 let himself get passed with 5 min left, otherwise there would have been 2 on the podium 1st time out. Also, the #45 Porsche gambled huge on fuel mileage, if the last hour had been all green, it would've been C6R 1&2 in their first outing.

Second and 4th in their debut against established competition is awesome!!

The Corvettes will only get stronger as the year progresses.

I do have to add that NBC's coverage is nowhere nearly as good as Speed's coverage. It would be nice if the coverage could stay on Speed. And be live to boot!

Doug Fehan gave a tech presentation about an hour before the race. It is amazing how much of the basic ZR1 is in these C6.R's. The hydroformed aluminum frame begins life in Bowling Green, which is just amazing to me. These guys were lapping about 13 seconds slower then the Indy cars, not bad for a factory frame and a 470hp American V8!
