Hi

While reading a build sheet l noticed that when the color was stated it read "Millenium Yellow W/Tint coat"

What does this mean With tint coat? Will this make touch ups that much tougher?

This is urgent because l'm going to be pulling the trigger on Tuesday if everything works out.

Testing? Can I post? Testing? Can I post?

I would like to know also, where does one obtain a build sheet?

When Chevy came out with that color, they realized it did not look right. They experimented and found out if they tinted the clear coat with the paint, the finished paint job looked awesome. That is also why there is a premium charge attached to that color.

Save The Wave! :w

Thanks Lt4man

What l was questioning is being that they are using a tint coat instead of a clear coat will using touch up paint (lacquer) will it be more difficult?

Or do you have to buy and do they sell tinted clear coat or whatever they call it.

On my Torch Red vette l am able to use Langka with very good results.

2 years ago at corvettes of carlilse there was a guy in one of the buildings selling touch up paint. I got mine from him. it was a perfect match on the 2002,He had brushable paint and also a 2 part spray paint system.I used it to paint my front plate holder. The color looked as though it came from the factory.

I am not sure if it the wax I use or if its the color but both cars attract tiny flea like bugs when I go to a car cruise and park on the grass

Bug Magnet !!!!!!!!!!!

You happen to be 100% correct and it's a known fact that some shades of yellow will attract bugs but some will also keep them away.

A La bug bulbs.

The answer is that you have to out run them !

It looks much deeper with the tinted clear coat.Compared to that mustard yellow the later Trans Ams had.Thats how I took it.
