I realize what I am about to ask is a very broad subject, but what I am looking for are just some ideas of what you folks might think it could be, I have a 94' LT 1 coupe with a 6 speed tranny, Now it has quite a few miles but generally speaking runs very well., but it kinda misses. I have replaced the plugs, wires, fuel & air filters, optispark. The missing is generally when I am running from a dead stop in 1st gear, if I sorta punch it, I get the missing, when I'm cruising down the freeway it runs just fine no missing at all, like I said it's just when I'm more or less urban driving.....any suggestions? :confused

I would check the wires again. Just because they are new does not mean they are good. Did you have this problem before the tuneup? Same goes for the plugs...check them....easiest to do things first....recheck gap...one could have closed a little if it was tapped on it's way in. I found a problem once in a bad wire in a dark garage at night causing the problem your talking about. Easy to spot a leaking wire. Good Luck....let us know what you find. :beer

Have the fuel pressure checked. Fuel pump may be going bad or the little "sock" at the pick-up may be clogged. The pump is not that difficult to remove from the tank.

Borrow a fuel pressure gauge and tape it to the windshield. Watch the fuel pressure when the vehicle acts up. When you get on it, the pressure should hold steady with no dips.
