I just recently aquired a 91 vert. and was wondering how to remove the seat backs &cushions as i want to redo them. the bottom cushion just lifts out but what about the seat back?. does it snap out or something? Also, how does the front lisence [got a D in spelling] plate cover come off:confused ? Thanks all:beer

There are clips that hold them on. the seat has metal 'bars' that slid into the clilps. to get the seat off, you have to slide the bars off the clips. Get a flashlight, and push the seat a bit out of the way (i suggest pushing the outside of the drivers side a bit up and over towards the passenger side) so you can shine the light in... you should be able to see the clips and be able to squeeze the seat off.

By the way, it is far easier getting the seat off the backing than getting the seat back on the backing...

i used a set of long 45 degree niddle nose pilers, open them up a little so each arm of the pilers is on one side of the clip and push. ithe 45 degree part pointing at the seat plastic back so not to wreck the foam. its a PITA but once you do it its easy. my 86 seats had i think 3 clips on each side.

Lay on the ground. You will see two screws at the bottom of the plate cover, between the bumper facia and the plate cover. After you remove them pull the bottom of the cover out from the bottom. There are two tabs on the top that slide into the facia that hold the top side in place. They will just slide down and out.
