my l81 on youtube, bad ending

Auw! Don't know why you went that way but the jump looked a little to high so what is the damage?
To be honest, in my opinion with my 81 donuts aren't that difficult. When you're in a spin everything looks to be moving very slowly but my 81 was bone stock back then.
I hope the damage isn't to big! Good luck

Was trying to fishtail up the road coming out of the doughnut, but lost all control! damage could of been much worse, car was drivable but it landed on a rock, spilt the inner bumper and bumper cover, crushed one grill/lamp. one trailing arm slightly bent, stress cracks in one fender ,This all happend a while ago front end got resprayed when the new bumper went on. I was getting bored with the car so while it was off the road I ended up taking the l81 engine and gear box out replaced with a zz383 and 700r4.

Was the '81 in stock form when you were doing donuts?

Mine runs a stock L81 and can't get out of it's own way!!!:confused

What am I doing wrong???;shrug

Not too sure, I know the engine was rebuilt once. It idled great, doubt the cam had been changed, I assume it was pretty stock, though no comp, normal rochester/vac adv dist, 2 1/4 dual exhaust no cat, 3.54 gears. Was getting bored, was the only way to get the tires to smoke up. New combo has same drivablity/manners but with balls :)

Easy, start in the middle of the parkingspace, turn the steeringwheel 1/4 to 1/3 of the total and pedal to the metal. It wil turn for 1/2 a turn and after that it will go into donutting. If you'r pushing the front wheels forward the steeringwheel is turned to much :)

When I say it can't get out of it's own way it can't! Does great in reverse. Tires won't spin even if I brake stand it.

By the way how's to resto going with your '81?
