...I should have the car out of the shop late next week, getting parts has taken forever. Re-worked heads, new cam, opti, pump,
52mm TB, chip etc. No headers or exhaust yet.

The cam I was expecting was 212/224 dur at 050, 520/536 lift
w/1.6 RR's, and 112 deg. lobe sep. Less radical than the GM
Hotcam, a better idle for stop-go traffic.

However, my heads guy (who I trust with ordering the cam
and recommending the right parts) said Comp Cams wouldn't
grind that for him any more. So what I will get is:

214/224 dur @050, 566/563 lift w/1.6 RR's, 112 deg sep.

This will have a little less dur than hotcam but a lot more
lift. Hopefully, there will not be any wear severe wear issues.
I only race occassionally, and anticipate only 8-10 drag runs/yr
and maybe 5-6 autocrosses with 1 road race added for good
measure.

Man, don't ya just love it when a plan comes together! Congratulations and I hope you have a HOT time when you get it on the road! :bu
