I'm not wild about it either, but I understand the philosophy behind it. When I was a kid, (25 - 30 years ago) a guy from the area had a C3 he modified - repeatedly. His dad owned a body shop and he was a body man as well. First came the fender flares. Then more. Then a bold blue and yellow metallic flame job. I mean Reagan telling Gorby to 'tear down the wall' bold. I actually liked that version. Then more flares and a Burgundy repaint. Then came the Can-Am kit and white paint. Too much. The thing was it was HIS car. There was no mistaking it when you saw it. He eventually sold it - out of the area. Not that we like looking at them so much, but people love building the stuff. Fiberglass lends itself to modifications easily, not to mention the availibility of products. On a related note, the guy I was talking about is one of the few hot rodders with a Vette from this area in that era that didn't die in a car crash. Happy New Year.
