Help! Mystery bulb under center console? 74 Auto.

There is a bulb with a metal clip attached to it. Can anyone tell me where it goes? Thanks Ralph

I believe that went to the ash tray. It could also be for lighting up the shifter display. either way, you'll see a dime-sized hole that the bulb and clip will fit into

The clip attaches to the lighter socket.
