Danica's Move To NASCAR A Mistake....

key NASCAR executives are together working the entire Sprint Cup garage trying to put together a package for Patrick to run NASCAR next season.


These "key NASCAR execs" are so caught up in the commercial side of Danica moving to NASCAR that I don't believe they're considering whether she can make it at all on the track. Just look at Sam Hornish Jr. He was multi-time IRL Champ and I've watched him blow Danica off many times. Yet even with good quality Penske NASCAR equipment, he has been struggling as a backmarker for at least a couple of years. Juan Pablo Montoya? Sebastain Bordais? Ashley Judd's husband - I can't remember his name? Even with the "NASCAR wink-wink advantage" which we all know goes to certain drivers sometimes, Danica Patrick couldn't make it in NASCAR. She's good in open wheel and huge for IRL certainly, but moving to NASCAR would be a mistake.

Well really, if she can be compaired to Tony or not, if she's in Indycar or NASCAR you've got to admit that she's the absolute finest small breasted driver in America!

Theres a Go Daddy "enhanced" joke in here for sure but I'll leave it alone...
I think the allure of her being in NASCAR wouldn't last that long....she'd have to win....regularly....

i have no trouble with any female drivers.Look what John Forces `girls have been doing to the drag racing .What troubles me is any more non-traditional cars ie toyota-honda.i feel that will be the begining of the end of nascar.....at least for me.....bill

Well I think we can expect a lot more foreign manufacturers in NASCAR, and I don't think they'll all be from Japan! I just would suspect BMW or Mercedes in there.

In an interview last week Tony made the statement that it would be possible to add a third car.He stated that he had reached a comfort level that when a good sponsor and driver we're available he'd make the move.

Maybe, but if that happens I think it'll mean one of his current drivers gets dumped...then again, I've always felt like Jack wasn't above kicking anyone to the curb at anytime and some of the drivers he's let go in current history I feel like back that up.

I do think if she comes over it will only be for a winning organization, Roush, Gibbs, Hendrick, etc...and I do consider what Tony has put together to be in a grey area of being his own team and being an extension of Hendricks racing. With the successful open wheel drivers that have all come over recently and are all running mid pack, if Danica wants to win I think it would be smart for her to hook up with the only former open wheel driver that has done a good job at making the transition to stock cars and learn everything she can from him. Even if she did that I'll be surprised and impressed if she can become a front runner in nascar, but then I'll also be surprised to see her make the jump, I'm expecting her to stay where she is...but it's fun to talk about and speculate about it anyways aint it!
