STRODE ELECTED AS NAAM VICE PRESIDENT
Executive Director, Wendell Strode, was recently elected as Vice President of the National Association of Automobile Museums’ board at the annual NAAM conference held in Reno, NV. In addition, Strode was also selected to serve as Program Chairman for the 2004 NAAM Conference to be held in Dayton, OH. “We chose a man with experience,” states Jim Johnson, NAAM President and Associate Director of the Alfred P. Sloan Museum. “When an organization the size of the Corvette Museum is being handled so responsibly by Strode, we knew the responsibilities of the association would be handled the same as well.” NAAM has 97 members including the National Corvette Museum, National Automobile Museum, National Packard Museum, Petersen Automotive Museum, NHRA Motosports Museum, Canton Classic Car Museum, Sloan Museum and many others. “I am thrilled to be a part of this extraordinary group of Museum colleagues,” states Strode. “Our missions, work ethics, and directives are all driven by the responsibility of preserving automotive history, and I look forward to an exiting term as Vice President.” For more information on the National Association of Automobile Museums, visit: http://www.automuseumassoc.org/index.htm
