jreeves said:Maybe groups like NCRS or Bloomington Gold need a new class or judging system for RESURECTION class cars. The cars would be judged based on how you have updated and improved them to bring them back from the dead. Your job is to start with fruit baskets full of parts and turn it into a modern tire burner. Base coat /clear cost paint jobs, tube chassis, crate engines, leather interiors, and 5-speeds all would be legal and encouraged.
What do you think?
That already exists in the NCRS - it's called the "Sportsman" class, for ANY kind of Corvette, and awards are based on attendance at events and participation in them, not originality and condition as in Flight Judging. I don't believe a similar class exists in the Bloomington scheme of things. If you order the "NCRS Corvette Judging Reference Manual", a/k/a "The White Book" from the NCRS store (www.ncrs.org), it has all the details about the Sportsman class.
