Hi,

I've been working on a design to replace my factory air cleaner cover on
my '84. It will convert the CFI air cleaner to the later L98/LT1 style
duct and air filter box. It is basically either going to be two seperate
plastic or metal boxes/molds for each throttle body or one sheet metal
box simular to the MFI box. Has anyone seen any other ideas out there.
Instead of a throttle body though, the duct will connect right to the
air box. Here is a very cheezy drawing of what i'm thinking of.
I'd love to fit the fuel rail covers off the LT1 on the sides two.

Forgot to mention, I'm after a factory look here. So two open element
air filters is not feasible.

that's good to know, thanks. I've done hours of research and put it
on that website in regards to the L83 and how it was made. I had
no idea they blocked remote image linking. Looks like clicking
on the link doesn't work for me either. But you can just go to
http://xfirevette.bravehost.com

and click on Engine, then continue at the botom.

There is some guy name Joby on a crossfire injection vault that pieced together a 84 Vortech supercharged CFI vette. He made a aluminum box that mounted to the TBI's maybe his box could work for you. Seems like a nice guy, look for him I'm sure he can help you out in your design.

i'm thinking a cover like the ls9, it covers the whole top half of the engine and
supercharger. it's going to say corvette on it at least.
