New Member with Big Block questions

If the motor that you want to put in as a replacement for a original 427 engine is to look for a 3963512 casting. In a 2 bolt version the rated HP is 390. another part that would be great as keeping the #'s close is a pair of 3946074 casting. these alum. heads were on the L-88 427. with the alum. heads and a strong built 427 your vette would fly if it had wings. Good luck on your project. If you need to find some of these parts let me know i have a ton or so of BB parts.

Have you thought about a crate Small Block 427! That way it matches the cubic capacity of the 69 model but with less weight for handling! eg
