Hi you all, I'm Henry. Live in Enkoeping, Sweden. Have 2 boys 15 & 17. Work as a systems consultant in a small company in Stockholm.
I just recently bought my first Corvette. I've been dreaming of this for years now. I found one that is going to need some work, but I think that's part of the fun. One thing that I need to get some help with though, is that previous owner had started the restore of the convertible top but not made it all the way. Sadly some parts are missing from the frame that I seem not to be able to find as new parts at Corvette parts dealers.
The pieces I need are the two front rails that attach to the front bow and also the link bar between the first and the second rail on left side of the frame. Any one have a spare set of these? Or maybe some one can point out for me where I could get lucky try finding these missing parts.

Best regards to you all
/Henry

Hi there Bill, it's not 450 hp engine. I checked the block ID and it seems like the block is from -72. Haven't checked heads ID yet so I do not know if they are from the original engine or if they belong to the 72 block.

If memory serves me the only year they offered the 454/450HP was in 1970, the next year 1971 the horse power started coming down I think for insurance puposes again as I remember. Maybe someone else out there can verify this. Nothing sounds like a BIG BLOCK Chevrolet, and the awesome low end torque from the Chevy big block was second to none at the time! Again I might be wrong but that is how I remember it.

Again welcome to the group. . . . . .
