1975 mille miglia red 4 speed
:happyanim:Hello fellow members, Zapparex here just introducing myself and my car is a 1975 Mille Miglia Red, L48, 4 speed Corvette with dual exhaust and magna flow mufflers. I am slowly fixing it up, just finished the front suspension and finally got the heater core in and back together. You members that have the c3 corvettes know about the center gauges and radio bezel break, so I am repairing mine again because I had to remove the bezel to get the heater core casing back in. I was running without heat for a year. I had read on another site about a weiand 8004 dual plane intake would work under the hood and seen 1 on ebay, so I bought it. I put it on the other day , it fits but the rubber ring on the air breather is tight to the hood. I noticed power right away. In a couple months I will start on the rear suspension and send my trailing arms to get done, I hear it's not a fun job. I am glad to be a member and Hi to all.:beer

Hello

Welcome to CAC

Back in the day, we'd add a notch in the "snowflake" manifolds.
In 1975 the air breather had the dual snorkel out the front and the rubber ring that sits on the edge. The air filter sits inside with space to suck air from the top of hood. The rubber ring is what is higher than the snowflake and I lifted the hood yesterday and the rubber ring was still on the hood. Oh ya [ hello kpic ] nice to greet you.:thumb

Welcome to CAC!!!
enjoy!!!!

Welcome, zapparex. Sounds like you've got a fun project. I'm driving a 2004 now, but I owned a '72 454 for twenty-seven years. I still miss that car. The C3s are so much fun to drive and restore. Good luck with you restoration. Lots of great people and information here. Enjoy!
