New Parts - Won't Start

Now What? Replaced distributor rotor and cap, waterpump. Car refuses to start. Seemingly the timing is off, occasionally backfires....anyone knows what I did wrong?

only a guess wires not on correctly? :confused steve

Yeah, that's my first conclusion. I believe the mechanic, inadvertently switched wire(s) in that optispark unit when he installed the new one; which is going to cost him a lot of time to sort out.
