Just another dumb question for all C3 experts out there................

Just purchased a new vaccum gage from my local parts store and it seems that besides the directions printed in every language but english....there are no real procedures for using the gage for making adjustments to the Qjet....I know it must be hooked up to a vaccum source, but which one is recommended?

I am inclined to think that any one on the carb will do, but the scant tips in the instructions say that it has to be connected to a non-ported vaccum source???????????? I am lost on that one......

Any help, tips pix etc sure would be appreciated...............

Connect the gauge to full manifold vacuum source for accurate measurements.

Connect it to the fitting behind the carburetor that's the main vacuum source for the headlights, etc. - that's a full manifold vacuum source. Then adjust the idle mixture screws for highest steady vacuum reading, and re-adjust idle speed as necessary. :thumb
