2005 C6 Victory Red Coupe
Hey all, I just bought my first Corvette a month ago and I'm enjoying every minute of it! Been a gear head for many years and have wanted a C5 or C6 for awhile now, and finally had the opportunity (and ability) to buy one. Bought a 2005 LS2 coupe with an automatic, it has both tops and had 12,988 miles on it when I bought it. Previous rides included a 600 HP 2008 Mustang GT, and I traded a 2012 Challenger R/T 6-speed for my Vette. Anyway, it's a pleasure to join the ranks of Corvette owners, and I hope to learn more about these cars by associating with this site. :thumb

Welcome to CAC. This is a great place to learn about and mod your Corvette. You will find the best troubleshooters and the best people in general here. You've had some impressive rides in the past, I'm sure that you'll find the Corvette to be a worthy contender.
:w
Post some pictures of your Corvette when you have time.

BAMA. . . Been to Dothan Alabama myself.

Hey Slick6 I forgot to ask you are you from Alabama or end up there via "Fort Rucker"? I have been all over Alabama and still have a good friend that lives in Ozark, Alabama. I went through helicopter school @ Fort Rucker myself. In fact I married a gal from Samson, Alabama who now lives in Florda, Niceville in fact of all places. . . . that lasted 7 years and the honeymoon was over :ugh May be planning a trip down that way in the not too distant future to see my friends there in Ozark, vist Rucker too maybe. Use to be a regular at a watering hole called the "Oasis" there close to Dotan I spent many a numb and dumb night there, it was a favorite gathering place for the troops from Rucker.

Welcome - See you in the C6 areas of the forum.

Thanks for the welcomes, everyone! I appreciate it very much. Hoosierdaddy, I'm originally from Virginia. I retired from the Navy in 2002, and went out west to contract with the Air Force for a few years. I'm in Dothan because of the nuke plant, where I currently work. My wife and I love it here!

Haven't decided on modding yet. I've added a Corsa exhaust and K&N drop-ins, but that's it. I'd love to hot rod this car, but I'm not sure that I want to mess with what GM created. This car is great as is!

Here are a few pics of my car. It still has the factory exhaust in these pics.Vette1.jpgVette2.jpgVette3.jpg

Just wondering most I have met or run into went through Fort Rucker there in the area. Alabama is nice if you like almost freezing in the morning and burning up in the afternoon seasonally. Like I said I have good friends that live in Ozark, he has dealerships around the area, one is Gilliand Chevrolet Gilland Chevrolet GMC – Hours and map, address, directions to our Chevrolet, GMC dealership in Ozark
and others around not sure where exactly, his name is John Gilland but he is semi-retired and his son handles things for the most part I think Nuke plant uh?

Welcome to the CAC!

Welcome to the Forum Slick6. :w

Maybe I should expound on what I do: I work at a nuclear power plant, not a plant that makes special "toys". Sorry for any confusion...:confused
