Well, this is not a really special thing to most, but I am really excited/happy to have finished this mod. The choice wasn't flashy or out of the ordinary, however I really like the way it changed the looks of my car. I have wanted ZR1 wheels since I bought my car. So I shopped until I found what I felt was the best deal.

Tom, the wheels look GREAT! Congratulations!

See you Saturday,

Barbie

P.S. OOPS! I forgot for a moment you were in Kansas. Guess I WON'T see you Saturday . . . but perhaps on the CF caravan?

Barbie, I would love to be able to make it Saturday, but alas I have company coming in for Easter. As for the caravan, well that is still up in the air. Thanks for the nice comments.

The Zr1 wheels really are a great choice---there's something sort of classically "racy" about them, and you don't have to worry about fit. I have the black ZR1 wheels from AFS Wheels on my '89, and I am thinking about getting the entire wheel blacked-out. I also like the DYMAG (sp?) wheels, but they are awfully expensive.

I must admit there are several different wheels that I really like the looks of, but, the replica ZR1's are the only ones I can afford. :D Dymags, CCW 505's, HRE 547's to name a couple.

Sweet!

They look great! I bought some used chrome ZR-1 wheels in January. Got a deal on them with some Goodyear GSCs. PM me your email address and I'll send you some pictures. Not computer savvy enough to post pics on the forum.

Great choice on the wheels. It was one of the 1st things I did to mine. Never looked back. The sawblades are on sale on ebay now. I figured I would never use them again.

Awesome wheels. Those are my choice when I do the wheel change. Only I'll go with chrome for a black vette. Good luck with them.:beer

It is too a big deal! You have great taste. I just bought some used ones a few months back with Bf Goodrich KDWs. The silver looks great with Torch Red, and the new rotors look good down in there.

Sawblades are fine, but it looks better to me now. Really changes the overall impact of the car doesn't it? Sort of meaner, down to business.

The reason I insinuated no big deal, is because a good deal of C4 owners go with the ZR1's and I figured everyone would think it is "no big deal". To me it was a big deal as I, like you, think it makes a huge difference in the appearance. Thanks for the feedback and nice comments.

BTW I sent pics to the company I bought them from and now they are using it in their advertisement for the wheels.

Congrats, wheels look great! :upthumbs I'm w/ tlong, it is a big deal! ;)

Thanks guys. When my wife got home yesterday from her 3 day meeting, she looked at them and said "I thought they were going to be shinier than that!" I said, "I can always sell them and buy the chrome ones!"

I think they look great!

But, then again, I might be a little biased!

Save The Wave! :w

I agree with others...... It is big deal when you get different wheels! They look great!
:cool
