The post above was made, as these were my feelings after seeing both cars, side-by-side at a show.

While GM should be celebrated for releasing a car such as the ZR1 in times such as these we have now, they are constrained like any other mfr. who has to answer to a BOD and bean-counters. However, given their collective tallent, they could have done more.

The Callaway at the show was not just shown there, it WAS the show! :v

Feel free to post away - Keep it civil :beer

I guess boring is in the eye of the beholder. I think the C6 ZR1 is one of the baddest looking 'vettes GM has put out in a while. The scoops, splitters, fender flares, exposed carbon, huge brakes, etc look plain mean.

That said, I thought the motors started looking boring with the LT1. I'd take a boring looking 638hp motor any day though. :)

The ZR-1 is a good looking car but I'd rather saw the design without the see thru hood and compared with the 90ies ZR-1 will choose for the LT-5 over and over and over again.

The SC580 is a very nice improved and upgraded Corvette but i'd rather have a C16 ( with an adjusted to C12 looks front bumper )

C12 BUMPER????
HAVE YOU PHOTO-SHOPED ONE ON A C16?
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE.

Gotta agree, screw underhood looks, you don't see the underhood when it's passing you on a highway. All someone would see is that the ZR-1 looks downright badass. Now a speedster, that is a Callaway with looks that kill.

I posted to this thead a few days ago. I came back today to follow-up and found many posts which were here before have been deleted and that includes all of the posts I made.

After reviewing the Corvette Action Center's Rules of Conduct, it's hard for me to find anything in the posts I made previously on this thread that violated those Rules.

So, Moderator *89x2*...WHY did you delete my content from this thread?

Also, just in case you didn't read what you deleted, in the last post I made, I asked you, Moderator *89x2*, specifically, if you are either employed by Callaway Cars, Inc. or contract with Callaway Cars, Inc. to act as an official spokesperson for that company?

Hib,

The thread was deleted because of the personal attacks within it - Calling people out, or calling owner names not only serves zero purpose, but it IS against forum rules. And when members "jump in" for the sake of argument... ;squint:

If you do have something to add to this thread, please, feel free to do so :cool Your thoughts are welcomed and respected!

It is interesting that you would think that a post made by you would be the cause for deletion of the earlier thread - but I am not sure what makes you tick, so we'll leave it at the fact of the matter being, it had nothing to do with you. :cool

As for the rest of your questions, please feel free to contact me offline by PM or email. IN fact, most personal questions are best kept to those formats. I am sure you understand. I will not be around for a few days, so it may take awhile to get back with you. I am heading to a car show :w

Frankly Hib, your post serves no useful purpose. I have reported it and I encourage my fellow forum members to do the same.

It's not exactly obvious that the complete thread was deleted and a new one created. It has the same title and same basic OP.

Wow... I can't think of what else to say? Actually, this. A thread is like a conversation or discussion. If you were engaged in a discussion, and someone just struck out your whole side of it, wouldn't you ask what happened?

Aurora,

What purpose do his questions have to the comment that the plastic on the ZR1 engine looks boring? Sounds like he wants to get personal to me. He also got personal on a comment to Kingforward. That is the basis of why I reported him. There is no need to get personal here.

I encourage everyone to report his reply.

In case you weren't aware, Luigi, "reports" go to all moderators and administrators. Unless you feel some urgent need to inundate the staff with multiple reports, please don't waste our time (and yours) doing so.

Hib, if you have concerns to discuss with *89X2*, I would encourage you to send him a PM rather than stirring things up in the open forum. You can always add a CC to Rob or other admins if you feel such attention is prudent or justified.

Moderating (and administrating) is not a science and not everyone is going to agree with every action taken, especially when dealing with subjective matters like opinions on how a certain feature looks. Let's try to avoid getting emotionally involved or entrenched in our opinions since this inevitably leads to conflicts.

I agree 100%. I spoke with Hib this morning, but I haven't been able to get on the internet since early this morning because I've been on the road all day.

And on that note, this thread is closed and I don't want it re-opened or re-started.

Chris, if you have an issue with that, call me.
