Chuck
it was our pleasure to have you and Linda and I were very glad you were able to be there and you enjoyed yourself.
Of course winning TWO trophies at the YCCC show with your BEAUTIFUL '69 Tripower helped a small bit too I'm sure
Lances collection was awesome to see and he is a real asset to the hobby and i'm sure Chip can look down and feel very proud of him. Lance definitey has the love and enthusiasm for the hobby and the generousity to share it with others. It was a great privilege to see the Miller collection and the entire day was great from the drive out to the show, the weather all day, than seeing the Miller's cars, dinner as a group, and than the WILD drive home.
i'm sorry you couldn't join us for dinner but well get together again another time and do it.
again, it was our pleasure to have you join our club for the day. After all the generousity you have shown me and help you have given me it was good to be able to offer you a small token of my thanks by inviting you along

PS: that wild drive home i mentioned......... I found out that my Baby (the '65) can keep up with a Calloway on the PA turnpike.
I was behind Jack the whole way home and he keep going faster and faster and I stayed with him. At one point Linda looked over at the speedo and freaked at bit when she saw it read 110 at that moment.
Jack called me this morning and said he called simply because he was amazed that my "old" car was able to keep up with him in the Calloway and the C5 guys. Her siad he actually kept pushing it faster and faster expecting me to drop back and not be able to keep up and was amazed that he never shook me
I don't think I'll ever abuse Baby like that again but sustained speeds of that level for 40 or so miles really made me proud of the old girl.
I was even able to tell Jack that not only did he NOT shake me but that I also had another 2000 - 2,500 rpms left in her easily. Thank god for having an L76 with a 6,500 rpm redline and I was barely pushing over 4500rpm.
