I have an 84 vette with about 100,000 miles on it. Would nitrous be a good idea on a car with this amount of mileage? OR, is there any other relativley in-expensive performance upgrades for my vette?
Thanks in advance!

With 100,000 miles on the engine, I wouldn't do it. When you use NO2, the engine needs to be strong. ;)

I have been pumping juice thorugh my engine for a year 87 thousand miles 125 shot and you have to watch the oil and lifter noise and make sure the computer is stock and the fuel is good.:beer

Wrong ...
Now that kind of response, especially leading off the sentence with "wrong", could quite possibly give people the impression of being perhaps slightly antagonistic, and also closed-minded. ;)

No answer here is completely wrong, it's simply a matter of opinion. You would employ nitrous on a high mileage engine, and obviously have had good experience; I would not use nitrous without a thorough refreshing, that is, new rings, bearings, etc., and a complete inspection of all parts that will be re-used.

Sorry your right I just don't like the word can't or any form or it .
There is always a way Just Keep an eye on the engine:)

I do believe the 84's were the stongest of the L98's with factory forged crank and pistons if I'm not mistaken. If you know the history of the maintnance on the car, and it's not burning any oil, I think you could do it without much worry for the motor.

The tranny and the rear end are quite possibly a different story depending on how and for what purpose you plan to employ the shot.
