No Fire!!!

I am getting frustrated, now my car is not getting any fire( or at least it seems). please give some feedback of what MAY be the cause.

What have you checked so far? How have you determined that it's not getting spark? Was it running before? What other repairs have you done to it? (recently). Alittle more info on the running gear would help too.

I have just had my L98 rebuilt to .30 over and new timing and plugs wires and all the typical things. well i got the car started after i got the motor back in, but it wouldnt idle worth a crap so i kept playign with it. So far i have replaced the MAS, o2 sensor, and New plugs wires distrib. cap and rotor. and also for a 12 dollar thrill i replaced the throttle pos. sensor. sometimes when turning the motor over it will act for a sec. as if it wants to start. but at this point, my eyes are burnt and my mind is fried. so if you guys have any suggestions on what my prob might be, please put ur input.

When it wouldn't idle, did you adjust the idle set screw on the throttle body?

Now since you replaced the cap and rotor, is the rotor on right? Moon's right - were you able to actually determine that there's no spark? Pull a wire off and hold it (better yet, have a FRIEND hold it near the end of the plug. You should get a spark snapping between the boot and the plug...

I know it might seem silly, but we don't know you or your abilities, so the basic questions need to be gotten out of the way first. We will assume you have a manual, for now and no more than what you've told us.

If you know how to adjust the TPS, then that's good. Are you certain that you got the distributor in aligned properly, firing order? We know you seem to have narrowed it down to spark. How? Did you replace the coil? If so, did it go back together correctly and with the dielectric conductor?

From what you suggest in your original ability to start the car I wonder about those three things I mentiond as well as vacuum leaks. If you're patient and can share good info, there are enough people in here with enough knowladge to help you through this.

Ok my two cents.....

Sounds like the Ignition control module is bad or failing, use the grease(all of it) for proper heat transfer. That twenty dollar part will cause all kinds of flakey problems. Secondly, change the fuel filter..... Just in case.
