I have an 89 convertible with no heat. Coolant temperature can be near 200 but all I get is cool air. I had all the radiator and heating hoses replaced a little over a year ago and everything was working fine. I don't use the car a lot and it could sit for a few weeks at a time. Any suggestions?

Does this car have C68 or manual hvac?

Have you read the Factory Service Manual's section on hvac service?

Could be heater core... Yuck... with the car nice and warm feel both
the inlet and outlet hose going to and from heater core. if only the inlet
is hot and the outlet is cold or a difference in temp to touch you have
a plugged heater core.

This car has manual a/c, I guess. The electronic a/c is not listed on the window sticker. No, I do not have a factory service manual, if I did I would probably only get myself introuble. Also, when warmed up, both heater hoses are hot. Thanks. I know it seems silly to worry about heat in Florida but I'm trying to sell the car and don't want to mislead anyone with what works and what doesn't.

First check all vacuum lines. I am quite certain that the door that controls the air flow for heat or cool is vacuum controlled.
If a line to the controls is leaking you may not get air through the heater core.

If both hoses are hot I would then say it's def.. vac. problem.
Those tiny plastic lines can be a real pain to trace simple
vacuum leak cause the one that supplies the vacuum to the
inside of the car is inside the wire loom. If you have a Pressure
regulator for your shop air compressor turn it down to about 4-5
pounds. And blow thru the lines and have someone else or you listen
for where the leak is from. But I stress don't use more than 5 pounds
of vacuum.
