1990 black coupe
hi! i have a 1990 coupe and just recently it has acted like the battery is dead, but it is not.when i turn on the ignition all the warning lights come on and there is not even a click--not anything from the car. i can hook the jumper cables to it and it acts like a fully charged battery.starts right up.what can i do besides take it to the dealer?----thanks for any help. john

I would start (no pun intended) with checking the battery post connections. Then check the connections on your starter.

Sounds like a connection problem for sure. Let us know what you find.

I agree, check for bad cable connections.
If you are connecting the jumper ground to a place other than the battery, such as a mount bracket, then check your ground cables first. On a car that old you could have a bad cable end.
