Any one use a full or half nose bra for bug and stone protection?
I'm wondering if they scratch the paint by it self? Would anyone
recommend one?:w

I don't worry about the paint. I have it for accent and I don't remove it :beer

Moonunit whit kind of tires are you running? And I love the black ZR-1s, I wanna go get mine black powder coated.

FireHawks they are great!

ZQQM,

We have the Speed Lingerie for both Corvettes, and they're only used on longer road trips. They're more expensive than others, but they're color matched and are exceptionally good. We don't keep them on any longer than necessary, and no, they don't cause any scratching. Many people like the GM bras, so you might want to look into them.

Having damaged paint edges from car covers, I am leery of grit that gets under any fabric, grinding the paint as the material moves. Pick yer poison!

On our new 745Li, we opted for a Clear Bra. It is very, very close to invisible and can be removed. It was appied by a guy who has had it on his C-5 for a year. The Bimmer is a black metallic color so his product is perfect, with the higher gloss than the 3M, which is a bit orange-peely, but fine on lighter colors. They get waxed, just like the car, for best longevity.

The bra helped some, when the fist-sized rock was kicked up during a recent road trip! :(

I think there are a lot of names for a few products with about 3 or 4 makers of the vinyl sheeting, each with slightly different characteristics. Some have less orange peel; some stretch a bit more.

Application is quite like window film, and while not rocket science, takes developing some technique, with practice, to yield a great result. Shops can download patterns for various cars, to a cutter. The accuracy of those pieces, which determines fit, varies a bit, too.

I know of 5 companies, all the material is made by 3M,AND VERY HARD TO diy, also not all distributers have all the software for custom fitting.
My local guy will do it all for $350, gurantied for 5 years.

Sorry for the delay, been busy. They are GY F1 GS D3's. 315's out back on 11" rims, and 275's up front on 9.5's. As far as I know these are still on backorder last I heard. Took me over 2 months to get them. But I DO Love them, can't wait to get em' back on next week :)

Ruby Red, sorry I don't know the brand, I bought it from another forum member about a year ago, used I think :w
