Nose emblems offered again

For anyone that needs is... Just got my new Ecklers catalog and looks like they offer the 1981 nose emblem again for $29.99. Part # A2053.

that be nice if it was, but some how i doubt it.

mine is sitting on my monitor at home waiting for me to complete my car. Its goning to be the final thing i do in the build/resto.

That's too bad. I have my ecklers catalog sitting right here and it has both gas door and nose emblem listed, even the part number.. what a tease.

The only place you might find them is on ebay.I bought two new ones and they were expensive.

ebay is where i picked mine up. i can't wait till my car is finished so i can slap it on the hood

The 1980 nose emblem is the same "except" it is chrome. Fine artist brush and enamel black paint will do the job and no one the wiser. 1980 emblems are available in most after market catalogs. Went to the muffler shop today and got new mufflers. Gotta love 60 degree December weather in Tn. Gonna be real cold in Jan/Feb.

1981 Nose Emblem

Sorry, but the 1980 nose emblem is not the same.The 1980 nose emblem is wider and has a longer nose.The 1980 Works and looks good but it is not original for the 1981.

Yep exactly what you say is 100% truth.
Guess my memory is fading as I get older.. loll

So with that said I have gone out and scoured the
land and have bought to date 11 of those suckers.
9 of them NEW, 2 used but in great shape.

Just in case I lose one in the future. I also
stashed them in different parts of the garage,
just in case I forget where I put them. They are everywhere.

Okay now, where in hell can I find part number
8993791 - oil tempurature gauge? Or does anyone have
the Ohm value of that rectangler ceramic resistor
on the back of that guage? Or is it a resistor?
I need help on this one. I would like an original
not one from I think it's redline?..

1981 Nose Emblems

Gee I am looking at 11 NEW nose emblems, 4 Used nose emblems
and 5 NEW gas door emblems right now. They are all lined up
on the firplace mantle, except for a set that is my safe.

My retirement.
