I replaced all 4 sensors and still get a variety of codes. Both sensor heater electrical problems and just bad sensors on my 1996 C4. A couple of the codes being I believe were 134 135 154. After clearing the codes it may be okay for a while but will happen again. If I do not clear codes it will run bad and not have much power.:confused

Do you have a FSM (Field Service Manual)? Problems need to be troubleshooted rarely does one just throw parts at a car and it fixes the problem. The scan tool and codes are just a tool and give you a direction to go in. I have found that sometimes they led you in the wrong direction. Please be specific in what codes you have and we can help more.

There are lots of things that could be setting a 02 sensor code besides the o2 sensors. If you are setting codes for all 4 sensor that is odd and I would suspect something electrical if this was true. :w

The codes that I get are random and occur for all 4 sensors at different times. The codes I remember are 134 135 154 155. After the engine is warmed up the codes rarely occur during the day but might. When cold I will get a code unless I let the engine warm up before driving. I am thinking it may be a ground problem like so many other problems. I also get problems like radio not turning off when door opened and engine off and hatch not opening from the drivers door switch but opens from the console switch always.

I would start with checking the ground and I mean every ground on the car. Your issue sounds very electrical in nature. Parts at this point are useless until a actual diagnosis is found. If you do not have a FSM, now IS the time.

I guess old age is getting to me. In the end I found a blown fuse for the O2's. It helps to look at a schematic. Where can I get an FSM? I saw shop manuaals on Ebay but not FSM. I still have the other 2 problems the hatch switch aand radio off when door opens. This

You can order Factory Service Manuals from Zip Products. They seem to have a good stock of a wide variety of model years.

Here you go, do not get the white cover ones they are preliminary manuals and do not contain everything for your 96. Lots of options. Get the ones with the Red Cover, be advised some of these are the manuals on CD which work nice too but I like my true paper manual. Read them carefully so you get what you want.

Glad you resolved your issued, Factory Service Manuals are worth there weight in gold, however, they have their limitations but nonetheless are the BEST source of info.
