My friend returned from a tour of the Corvette assembly plant.........he noticed two Corvettes marked 2007, On the line ...asked what are those ? was told "2007 pilot/prototyps" .....he managed to get away from the grope & took a good look.............he told me that there were radio controlls on the steering wheel............as he is a C6 owner...a Vette guy from way back...I take his observation as reliable.............The GM men in black will probably contact me ......will not give up my source even if tourtured...the Dog Woof

tortured over radio controls on the steering wheel? Hell, even my 2000 Honda Accord has that.:eyerole

................"IF" you were a tru Corvette Guy , Not a Honda = remember pearl harbor type ....you would understand the secrecy that exists at the Corvette plant .>>>>> .but you have probably never been there , So I will explain....... >>> when taking the tour & entering the plant ...no camera of any type ..... ......... , when taking the tour there are small groups with a tour guide & you must remain with the group..staying in a designated area >>>> I am certain they (GM) didnt want some one wandering off to look at a 07 >>>> However to some it may be interesting......to A Honda guy probably hard to understand......note Corvette resale value is better than a Honda >>> what will your Honda be worth in 15 years...............................Nothing, as Hondas have no "spirt de cor"..............

So I guess members of this forum that own a Vette like myself and own another car that is not a Vette, are not tru Corvette people? And I guess because we own another car we don't understand Corvette resale values. What a joke :eyerole And I supposed being a Native Californian with a mother from Japan really makes me really suspicious as the "pearl harbor type" as you call it. After those remarks, who's going to take you seriously. Wow, you sure are cool and important.

Dog, not sure what the problem is but you can back off anytime. His comment is justified in that many cars today have radio controls in the wheel and have for a number of years. Remember the old '89 Grand Prix? Him making that comment doesn't make him any less of a "Corvette Guy". I think the information you provide is interesting and I'm sure many members will be interested to finally see radio controls on the steering wheel. I just don't see GM sending goons to your house over it.

Daddoe, welcome to the CAC and I hope you enjoy the stay. Not all of our member are so quick to riducule.

Leon :w

My intention wasn't to 'dis dog. I just didn't think he should be tortured for the info. We all love our Vettes and I enjoy reading and learning anything I can about them. Thanks for the welcome.

:beer

My remark was not to dis anyone........rather >>>> when one finds out some probable info on the 07 .............. & relays it ... some act like they are on the rag............ who said any thing about some ones mothers heritage .......give mre a break >>> the comments were about rice burners.........not your mothers s place of birth..enough ..... said..............futher not one rice burner have any heritage....or spirit de cor...Corvettes = apple pie, baseball & USA..........wOOF

daddoe... I think straydog may have been referring to when "GM's men in black" responded to C6 ZO6 photos being released early in some other forums. Seems that GM wasn't too happy about it's new sports car premiering on-line. I'm sure the whole saga can still be found by using the search.

Post 3 line 1 sounds pretty condenscending to me.

Dirtfarmer, i can understand what you mean about a whole new sports car being revealed on line, but that's quite a leap from this thread.

A "tru Corvette guy"? What is that? Do you take special medicine? Dont take this so seriously. Its a G-D car for heavens sake. Save your hugs for your family and NOT your car!

Wow............this all started as a simple observation of a 2007 pilot at the the Corvette plant, to & for those who are interested in Corvettes,....... not for the oversensative " what do you mean by that & bo hoo", sorry this is the Corvette forum..........not the rice burner forum or the go give Ralph Nader a hug forum......another lawyer who never did an honest days work........................

Cool - Radio Controls on the steering wheel . . .

Corvettes continue to improve and they keep getting cool creature features. The great thing is if ya don't like em, love the 1 your with! :upthumbs

Maybe the company that created the Corvette can learn a few things from the rice burners. I dont see Honda laying off 30,000 workers.

My 99 is my second Corvette and my 15th GM car. Also my last.
So the 07 C6 is gonna have radio controls in the steering wheel? Big deal, so did my 2000 Bonneville, they worked for 2 years. Hope the C6 has better luck.

havent we ALL seen something top secret during one or more visits to the Assembly Line?--- and were asked to keep quiet about it (and to just enjoy the articles and forum discussions that guessed about the final product until its actual release)
