Odd interior colors!

A friend of mine just bought an 82. It is a 65k actual mileage car, with the cb option! It is pretty straight. However it has weird interior colors. The trim tag says 24L 26 and then also 182 I believe. I will double check. The color is silver blue, but I do not see any dark blue.

The interior is charcoal leather, however it has dark green carpet. It looks completely factory. I'm wondering if anyone has seen anything like this, or is the carpet faded, or did it get cleaned with something to turn it green?

I'm betting it's been repainted and the carpet has been changed. 24/26 indicates Silver Blue over Dark Blue two-tone and the car should have a matching paint stripe.

Green carpet might be sun faded but I suspect it's not original.

I second the sun fading. My dark blue carpet looks green in a lot of places.

So the exterior of the car should be painted silver blue on top and dark blue on the bottom??

yes,U on the trim tag is upper paint color,
L is the lower paint color..

...And there should be a factory applied accent tape stripe between the two colors.

My aftermarket carpet, though charcoal grey, is turning green on the tunnel covers and in other spots the sun hits.
The original factory carpet parts in the rear are still grey.
I suspect the carpet is aftermarket in your friends.
