The odometer on my 1968 427 Corvette isn’t working but my Speedo is. Any idea how to fix this?

Vern, I moved this thread to C3 Technical and performance from Site feedback, for better exposure to an audience that is more likely to be able to help.

Welcome to CAC!!!
Enjoy!!!
Either your speedo cable has broken or the gear in the transmission has been stripped.
Do you have a factory service manual???

Not likely if the speedo works ok. Usually in the odometer drive inside the gauge assembly.

I didn't read it correctly... your right.
I just fixed mine last year

It is more common to have the cable or gear drive go bad for sure.

Back in the day quite a few odometers didn't work from someone trying to roll back the mileage, which was fairly easy to do with mechanical speedo's and odometers.

there is a small metal gear in the spedo assembly,I have seen it worn out,Zip sell them
