Fact is, slight oil in the intake, especially in modified engines such as yours is completely normal.

I hear that. Yesterday I removed the intake and throttlebody, cleaned all the oil out and installed the catch can. This took care of the issue right away. It seems that all GEN III's have this issue. I found this link, sounds like the exact same problem. Let me know what you think.

Hi there,
2001 Silverado is a different PCV system and should not be confused.
Fact is, as the orifice decreases, pressures are vented through the fresh air hose under heavy loads.
As long as your not carbon fouling your plugs, this is ok.
