I use PF52's in my 95. The 52's are for trucks so they are a little longer, but don't stick down past the cat or the oil pan so I don't worry about it hitting or scraping on anything.
The AC Delco PF25 has been discontinued and it appears that most of the aftermarket brands that had an equal to the PF25 are also gone. The PF454 is the replacement but it appears to be smaller than the PF25.
The AC Delco PF1218 is a larger filter that holds nearly a quart and it doesn't go below the oil pan when installed. Use it on L98 motors. You can also do a cross-reference for the AC Delcon PF1218 for other brands. There is a Mobil-1 version of that filter and a K&N version too.
And stay as far away from FRAM as you can!! Let the Mustang guys have them.
The PF 52 is replaced by the PF 1218 The diff. is the new filters have anti drainback valves in them for the newer aplications where the filter mounts on the side.
