My engine is a 350 ci L83 Corvette running with a 1990 TPI Chevrolet Speed sensor

(No EGR )

Then engine is a complete new one.

I do not find solution for the following problem: oil on tread spark plugs. (one litter for 400 miles !!!!! )

Valves guide, valve seals are ok. Piston gaps are ok.

Intake manifold (serial GM n° 14081005) is well installed (no air leak) (sequence torque ok / sealant ok )

I have disconnect PCV valve and I added breather on each valve cover.

Problem is the same.

What about the oil passage between 2 and 6 cylinder intake??? Could oil be suck up through this passage???

Does I need to close it as PCV and EGR ARE removed???

An idea about that ??

Thanks

JeanLuc

If you are burning a liter for 400 miles, that is extensive oil burning. Do you notice any smoke or anything from the exhaust. Sounds like the rings didn't seat.

I agree. If you have a mechanic you trust who can do a compression test on each cylinder, that may point to a problem with the rings.

Where in Paris are you, out of curiosity?
