Hey guys,

Went to the local dealership Saturday to check out the new Stingray up close and personal. They had a beautiful Torch Red/Adrenaline Red conv. on the showroom floor so I opened the door to get in and check out the interior. My question is this: How many of you have smashed your knee against the wrap around part of the dash that juts out in a point? I narrowly missed doing it when I got in the car and I'm only 5'11" and medium build. This can't be a good thing over the long term. :ohnoes

Been in several C7 Convertibles and never had the problem. Red on Red is the perfect choice for me with M7 and hopefully I will get a new one, 2015 or 2016, within a year. Been reading Corvette magazine's review of 3 C7 verts, base, Z51, and Z51 with magnetic selection. The base with magnetic selection and Z51 with mag selection are the way to go for me. Don't believe I need the Z06 convertible just to cruise in, but it sounds marvelous.

I back in and sit down in my C7. Then I swing my legs in. Haven't had a problem yet. :w

I back in also, then swing legs in. Getting old ain't for wimps.

It's a bit tough for an old guy like me (82), but as previously stated, back side in and then swing legs. Once you get used to it, its as simple as putting on your pants.

With average intelligence, you should only do that once.;LOL

1) Open door
2) Run seat back unless memory/easy access has already done it
3)Butt on seat (if it's been lowered butt on sill, then put hands on sill & shift butt to seat
4)Swing legs in (2 at at time, or 1 at a time if knee/hip replaced)
5)Close door 1/2 way so you can reach it when you settle back(move seat fwd as needed)
6)Buckle in.
7)Start car
8) Put in reverse
9) Remember that you FORGOT something
10) Reverse 8 to 1
11)Go back in house for shopping list/reading glasses/water bottle/gym bag/ other
12)Open door...........................
