Hello everyone, first post here, seems like a great forum!

I have a 71 convertible that I recently purchased. I'm just going through fixing some little odds and ends when I noticed that the car only has one horn. I thought that all c3's had hi-lo horn setups, or was it an option? Sounds kinda "dumb" with one horn!

Regards m22

May depend on the model year. Most C3s have dual horns, but 71 may have been an exception. Do you have the assembly instruction manual (AIM)? If dual horns were installed, the AIM will show each.

I believe 71 and 72, both have just one horn. The 71 is the same low note as the 70, which had two.

Thanks for the info, the horn has a "D" on it, I'm assuming that is the note it honks!

Single horn was standard equipment with no dual option up to 1973. In '74, option RPO U05 became available which added a second horn at a cost of $4.00. Dual horns became standard in 1976.
