I'm getting ready to replace the pan gasket on the 383 stroker in my '62. I had a small drip at the rear of the pan (rear main is dry). It's a 1969 block with two-piece rear main and thin front seal. FelPro sells a one-piece gasket and I'd like to know what you guys think of those vs the muti-piece cork gasket.

Unless you're looking for something that looks original, which I suspect you're not, then go with the one piece. It'll last a lot longer.

I agree. I wish they would have had these years ago.

well, since 383 stroker was NOT available in 1962 guess originality is NO CONCERN! (VBG) agree wish one piece gaskets were available back in the day but that is what they call progress
