Am interested in obtaining instructions on the operation of a P&G gauge. My local race track is considering using such a machine to check cubic inches, and I want to be checked out on this thing before I let ANYone touch my stuff. All I can find on Google are two websites listing the part for sale ($1000 yikes), but no instructions.

Anybody familiar with these and are there instructions on its use?

Thanks, Gary

Faced w/ SAME situation here.

I've never handled P&G ... but I understand ONE cylinder is tested ... that cylinder has it's rockers loosened or removed ... a hose is connected into that cyl sp hole ... then motor rotated through & its air pumps up a ball in a graduated glass cylinder. I'm assured it's far less invasive than any other routine tech shed stuff ... w/ P&G your heads, intake, timing cover & pan stay on the motor. They just take off a valve cover, a coupla rockers & all sp plugs ... that's it.

Here's one: http://www.precisionmeasure.com/test1.htm

If/when you find more ... lemme know.

Jack - thanks. I had the web page too. I know generally these operate, but wanted to get a hard copy of the operating instructions beforehand - you know, just to be able to know what is happening when they say I'm illegal . . .

Of course, it is not cheating until you get caught, right?

Thanks again, Gary
