Anyone have any insight (cough cough C4C5;) ) on this code. Specifically, it would seem to me that this is not the sensor itself, but rather that there is a connection problem. Does that have any basis in reality?

I had this happen about a month or so ago, and I just cleared the code and it was fine until a couple of days ago when I got stuck in a heavy rain. I cleared the code again and it was fine for a day or two now it is back, and if I clear the code without starting the motor, the gauge reads fine, once I start the car the gauge quits registering and the code is reset.

Is there anything I can do to check the connections and maybe rectify this problem without having to take it to the dealership?

Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mick

Hi there,
#01-06-04-022 - is the bulletin that could apply to your vehicle.
It is in the knowledge base here, and is very helpful in diagnosis of this condition.
If I was to hazard a guess, then I would say the passenger side sensing unit is having a problem.
I would also check for an updated calibration for the engine control computer.
