It would probably only affect value if someone wanted to have the car NCRS-judged; the Special Paint notation on the trim tag essentially says "we don't know what color this car was painted originally", and the burden is on the owner to produce the original documentation that shows what "special color" was applied when the car was built. Without that information, the car would get an 85-point deduction for "color".

It also depends what colour that was painted- day-glo pink might not have the same market potential as black or a hot red.

What colour is it?
