Paint Protection Film

The paint on my 2012 Crystal Red GS is really nice an I want to protect it. I'm looking at having the front fenders, hood, and front bumper coated with Xpel film because I'm planning a long trip at the end of August. This stuff is pretty pricey. Does anybody have any thoughts, pro or con, on this or any other similar product ?

I know that a lot of people have it and like or love it... I have no experience with it, just relating info I have heard.
