I wonder if I am the only one who has ever done this?.......About 15 years ago I bought a blue 65 Coupe. I wanted to have it painted it's original Ermine White and wanted to do most of the blue paint removal work myself.. I had heard so many nightmare stories about stripper that it scared me to try that. I also did not want to try sanding because I did not want to comprimise the integrety of the edge radiuses. So...I bought a bunch of single edge razor blades, carefully ground off the pointed ends, and, excluding door jams, I "shaved" the paint off of the entire Corvette! It just scraped/peeled right off down to the primer or sealer....never did see fiberglass.

I think that if you did that you must be the most patient person alive! Sheesh! I could never do that!

I've washed them, I've changed them, I've fed them and loved them, I've even "burped" them when the gas got caught in their carb throats......but you are the first guy I ever heard of that shaved one......:L ;LOL

I've heard of guys shaving their paint before but I've never seen it done.

Dawn, nice new avatar. I go away from home for a few days on a training course and I start noticing pretty girls everywhere!! ;)

It did take about 2 weeks of patients. I would work for about an hour at a time and then take a break as my fingers would ache from holding the blade. Taking that first scrape was a scarey ordeal!

My brother and I did the samething to our '65 conv. You're right, it takes a while and a good amount of patience.
