Parking Brake

How difficult and what is the procedure to change the parking brake shoes? I have a squeak from the rear drivers wheel, at first I thought it was the bearings but I am leaning more toward the parking brake shoes as it does not squeak all of the time and I think a bearing would.

They're are a bit of a PITA to mess with. But I have the same "squeak" from time to time in the left rear wheel and it's usually just some oxidation on the rotor especially if it sits for a while or rains.

Thanks nut, I would agree with the oxidation but I had the half shaft and the brake pads off and it still squeaked when I rotated the spindle by hand. I guess that's why I think it has to be either the bearings or the parking brake.

I hope its just the park brake. When you have the original brake disks (still popped to the back. There is a little hole in it somewhere, through there you can adjust the park brakes if they are close to or further of the inner side of the brake disc. You do this with a screwdriver. If this it not an option and the discbrakes are still popped you need to drill them out. And take the brake disc off. Now you have easy acces to your parking brakes
