Does anyone know if the passengfer side valve cover breather gromet can be removed like the driver side (by just pulling it straight out) or does the valve cover have to be removed. Als, is their supposed to be to pvc valves of just one on 1989 l98

Well, the grommet won't pull straight out, it is a pressure-fit piece of rubber, I usually use needle nose pliers or pry it out carefully with a standard screwdriver. The pcv valve goes on the driver side valve cover, the passenger side is just a tube that runs to the throttle body.

But don't expect to re-use it.
It may rip, they sell replacements at most auto parts stores.
