Hi

I have asked this question before and was given excellent advice on how to stop the mirror (Pass. side view) from rattling.

The problem is that after powering the mirror in all of it's positions, l wasn't able to position a phillips head screwdriver to get to the screw. Close, but not close enough.

Now, l only have a regular style phillipshead, is there any other kind or is there a trick?

Does the mirror itself pop out?

Thanks

Alan

Wow mine is loose to I never even knew there was a screw to tighten in there I'm going for that screw today I'll let you know If I get it.... Thanks that thing has been bugging me If you find out anything else please post

Mirror position!

If you move the (pass Side) mirror down and toward the car, you will be able to see the phillipshead screw.

There is also a part being sold in the car catalogs (Eckler's) called l believe trinon or something like that($3.95) that fits behind the mirror like a bracket to hold the mirror.

l'm still looking for my post that gave me the hint on how to fix the mirror from rattling.

Tightened Mirror Found the screw and tightened up with a reg phillips screw driver I did find that the mirror is just snaped in I moved it manually inboard and down and had full streight access to the screw. I also noteced in the center of the mirror was a pivot "t" that is just snaped in. This partially unsnapped outboard when performing access to the screw but easly snapped back into place the threded stud also pulled all the way out but when pushed back in made no adverse funtion of the mirror. works great and not loose

Thanks

Cool!

HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Guys

l still haven't been able to get to the phillips head screw. l probably will have to unsnap the mirror. How much pressure did it take to unsnap it and what direction did you take.

l really feel like a moron, but that's why l'm here "to live and learn".

It didn't take to much. I just pushed the mirror inboard and down it makes a zipping noise when doing it.. you'll see a black nylon rod thats what will pop out No biggie when done tightening the screw it just pop it back in.. I hope this helps it is kind of hard to discribe
