Passive Keyless Entry

I have a 93 coupe with PKE( I am in the process of selling the 93).
I have recently bought a 94 Vert and it no longer has the PKE....can I purchase it from .......somewhere ??????

How is it that the 94 does not have PKE?
It was standard on them.

I found one at this place but have NOT dealt with them, yet. As I recall the price was about ~100.00 for the PKE in dash unit.

I think you are saying that you did not get the 'keyfobs' with the car and therefore the PKE does not work. Is that right?

If so, replacement keyfobs are available from your local Chevy dealer and many aftermarket Corvette places.

Also check ebay for Keyfobs. .
Just make sure they are for your series vette and model (vert / coupe)

just to be sure i'm clear on this -

Do you know for sure that the IN DASH unit is the problem? If so, what was your method of determing. You are sure it is missing. Is it connected ? Just wondering.

I have a Service manual and am willing to scan the pages on diagnosis if you want me to.

I'm sure you meant the key fob was missing. I just got one from e-bay and works great for $65.

If you or anyone is looking for a new PKE FOB, I got one last month from gmpartsdirect.com which was $85.20 plus $16.54 for handling and freight. Most ones on E-Bay are going for around this price with the added risk.

GM part number for coupe is 10282929 and the convertible is 10282930.

I was stupid and bought mine from the dealer (he just happened to have one in stock because someone else didn't pick it up) and paid about $150, same as the catalogs. Ebay may not be a bad idea, as long as you don't get a dud.

Mine from e-bay worked fine and the guy I bought it from sells nothing but remotes. I was kind of hesitant but he had all good feedbacks.
