anyone know of a article on how to put a new chip in 1990L98 vette any help appr.

You have to put it in your ECM. You have a 90, so I think yours is under the hood right? All you do is take it out, it is a rectangular box, or at least on my car is. Remove the two screws in the center, and pull the old chip out. Then just line up the new one and put it in.

Ya But

What are you planning on doing? Hey, did you ever get any of my e-mails on the amps :confused

Yeah, I should of said if your car is stock, it is a waiste IMO to put a chip in. The only thing mine does, that I can feel is turn the fans on earlier.

Shift points?
Redline?
Speed limiter?
Mileage?

For a '90 the ECM is right above and to the rear of the battery. There should be three 10mm screws/nuts that you need to loosen (the one outboard needs to be removed IIRC.) Pull the whole ECM up and out, turn it over and there should be four 1/4" screws, remove these and the cover. The MEMCAL is right underneath, two "latches" on the sides and it should pull right out.

Always disconnect the battery before removing the MEMCAL just to be on the safe side.
