Still trying to put things back together.

After a setback in the brake department I decided to try some trim
The windshield trim is all on and I went the install the small moldings where the fender meets the windshield (72 vette btw)
When it's clipped in and the screw is placed on the inside of the fender there is quite a gap where the molding meets the side windshield molding, it looks like it's sitting to high up (need to bend the part that goes into the clip tighter)
Anyone have a photo of how theirs fits in this area?
Thanks

They fit more or less flat on the fender top with very little gap, same as the wiper door trim. I would be very cautious about bending anything to attempt to get them to fit. Post a pic of what you have.

These are pretty good, but not perfect.

Hi and thanks for the quick reply.
I've got mine lined up pretty good to the fender and to the wiper door. The gap I'm looking at is where the molding meets the stainless trim that goes up the side of the windshield. There is a curved area on the fender molding that looks as if it should be close to the windshield trim but I've got about a 1/4 gap. Since the stainless on the windshield doesn't go do past this fender trim very far it shows the gap even worse.
I'll try to get a pic
Thanks

Pics of gap

Here's some pics of how the trim is sitting.
I can pull it in and a little tighter at the hood side by playing with the screw in the fender but cannot so anything on the end that is "clipped" on out by the door

In reality it lines up pretty good with the wiper door in the down position which lines up pretty nice with the fender.

The side shot shows that the polished bead lines up pretty good with the polished edge of the window fuzzy.

As shown I can drop a pencil into the gap between it and the glass (similar to the wiper door which might be a bit tighter.

The bit that's bothering me is the gap to the windshield trim and the fact that you can easily see the end of the windshield trim.

Am I missing a piece of trim or is this just the way it sits (maybe the clips on the fender are wrong but they are wrapped around the fender so I don't even see how they'd come off.

Any ideas?
Thanks
Mooser
