Plastic Paint Protection Removal

I am looking at purchasing a used C6 that has plastic paint protection mask on it. Question is do any of you have any experiences with what to expect when this is removed. Has the paint been affected at all by having this coating on it....faded etc. or is the clear-coat affected?

We probably all have our own opinions on these types of products, but I personally would never install it on my cars or trucks.

This is definitely a reversal to what I normally hear asking about this product. I almost always hear people asking where they can get this done...so I guess this is a good question, sorry I can't answer it. But I will be waiting to hear the answer.

Yeah,It'll come off there without any ill effects to the paint!!
I put them on once in a while,I put one on Vett Boy's C6 and a couple for the local Chevy Dealer!
Fact is I just got one for my 03! Wished I'd done it when it was new!

I worked at an Audi dealership and the salesmen pushed this stuff.It looked good when it is new-but down the road a few years it cracked and turned yellow-maybe the hot florida sun-then it looked bad and our detail guys had one hellva time getting it off!
