Trying everything as I get them

Thanks alot guys for the help, this is great!!

I will try the test Vig, post the results as they happen,

Is the starter relay the cigarette size box behind the info center? that's what I have clicking?

IT STARTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok guys, It started!! THANK YOU ALL!!

I performed all the tests. For future reference. I jumped the clutch switch and the relay as instructed, ( seperate tasks) it did not crank either time, I took a starter relay out of a friends VETTE and it still didn't start. jumped the clutch switch again it started right up, put the old relay in without touching the jump wire and it did not start, put the borrowed relay in again leaving the clutch switch jumped and it started right up, tried it a dozen times started up every time. Therefore....I need a new clutch switch and a relay. I will get a new relay tomorrow

Does anyone know if I can jump the clutch switch out, long term, It seems to be a pain in ___ to get to, I don't mind not having one as long as it will not impact anything else.

Thanks Again guys, Vig, 69, etc.. Saved me alot of $$$$, I owe you one.

Cut the lines

On the OLD clutch switch side CUT THE LINES ( do not mess with the factory side of the harness)... splice the two lines together..... SOLDER IT !

Then later get a NEW switch... remember once those wires are JUMPED ( Bypassed) the car will start in gear!!!!!!!

BE WARNED!

That was it

FYI, Changed the starter relay, ($ 12.00), it starts right up now.

See everyone at Carlisle

Thanks

Ben

Ouch.....that stung a little bit. Oops, I think my nose is bleeding, I did not see that one coming:L

I love it when I am wrong, and the solution is much less severe than I thought:)

I noticed this last weekend that the 90 Vette acted like I had to really press the clutch pedal further down than normal (I mean like on the floor) for the neutral safety switch to engage. I went back and re-read this because I was thinking I was heading in this direction.

Glad it is up and running. Plus, it would be kinda hard to sell if it would not start.

Not for sale anymore :)

Decided not to sell it anymore, ( at least not until it gives me more trouble!! :)

Cyber KO

Naw Chris...... No blood....

Just a different observation than yours.....

Glad the rides runnin!

Those switchs are a BEAR to get to..... ME I would just by bypass it. ( But I've been known to be lazy at times)

Glad to hear that your on the road again, One more warning, do
not test drive a new C5 otherwise you just might sell your C4 like I did. "Save the Wave" :beer :w

Humor me.

Please check all the fuses. If one or two are bad in certain slots the car wont zoooooooooooooooooom.

Good luck.
